Who we are

Mission Statement: We seek to further the interests and promote the general welfare of interscholastic swimming, diving, and water polo throughout the state of Texas in the areas of:

  • educational improvement of coaches
  • coordination of rules changes at the state and national level
  • disseminate public information intended to education and/or promote interscholastic swimming, diving, and water polo throughout the state of Texas

History: TISCA was founded in 1959 and sponsored swimming and diving as an interscholastic sport in Texas until formally recognized by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) in the 1970's. TISCA has sponsored water polo since 1972 and provides annual reports to the UIL. in addition the association sponsors an annual coaches education and awards clinic to further education and promote aquatic sports in Texas.

  • This event raises funds for the Theron L. Pickle Memorial Scholarships for seniors who achieved high level accomplishments and shows outstanding work ethic and character. Being a sponsor allows businesses to network with potential clients and raise scholarship funds. Elite, Gold, and Bronze sponsorships will have the opportunity to promote their businesses at the tournament.

We are pleased to offer several options for sponsorship for our organization and clinic. Each tier has limited availability and will be offered on a first come, first served basis to our partners. The sponsorships will run March 1st through February 28th each year. Returning sponsors will have first right of refusal starting in December for the following year. In January, all open sponsorships will become available to the general public.

The TISCA Convention is the premier high school aquatics convention with over 400 coaches representing swimming, diving, and water polo programs across the state of Texas. The TISCA Convention gives a unique opportunity for companies to demonstrate their products, services, or expertise to coaches and leaders at the largest conference for the aquatics industry in Texas. Coaches throughout the state gain professional development, networking opportunities, and access to the most innovative and industry leading ideas, products, and techniques.
