Mission Statement:

The mission of the Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA) is to advance excellence in high school aquatics across Texas by supporting and empowering interscholastic coaches and educators, celebrating the achievements of student-athletes, and strengthening the statewide ecosystem for swimming, diving, and water polo.

We exist to:

  • Develop and Elevate Educators and Coaches: Provide comprehensive professional development, networking opportunities, and continuing education that enhance instructional and coaching effectiveness in interscholastic aquatics, fostering leadership and instructional excellence across all Texas high school aquatic programs.
  • Recognize and Honor Student-Athletes and Coaches: Advocate for and administer meaningful recognition programs that celebrate athletic performance, academic achievement, and character, including All-State honors and awards that reflect the highest standards of competitive and scholastic success in swimming, diving, and water polo.
  • Support and Strengthen Aquatic Sport Programs Statewide: Serve as a unified voice and resource for interscholastic aquatic sports, promoting collaboration with school athletic organizations, advancing equitable opportunities for all athletes, and contributing to the continued growth and welfare of swimming, diving, and water polo throughout Texas.

Through leadership, service, and collaborative engagement, TISCA fosters a thriving culture of excellence in high school aquatics that prepares coaches and student-athletes to succeed in sport, education, and life.

Vision Statement:

Our vision is a Texas high school aquatics community driven by excellence, fueled by passion, and united by a commitment to develop not only champions in the pool, but confident, disciplined, and resilient young people prepared for life beyond sport.

TISCA envisions a future where every Texas high school aquatic coach is empowered, supported, and inspired to lead with confidence, purpose, and integrity equipped with the education, resources, and community needed to build exceptional programs and positively shape the lives of student-athletes.

We strive to create a culture where coaches are valued as educators and leaders; where collaboration replaces isolation; and where innovation, mentorship, and shared standards elevate swimming, diving, and water polo across the state. Through meaningful professional development and strong statewide connections, TISCA seeks to ensure that no coach stands alone and no program is without a voice.
